Business As Usual

Since returning from lockdown we are thankful that our small family business has been kept busy, we have encountered issues with delays with suppliers but our customers have been understanding. It is great to see so many people shopping locally and supporting us time and time again. Thank you this means a lot to us – Thank you.

Customer Notice – Coronavirus

Here at Premier Blinds and Curtains we are following the latest guidance from Public Health England (PHE) with regards to helping protect our customers and employees from the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus).  We also trust that our loyal customers will do the same – business as usual.

Spring Cleaning!

We often get asked about how to clean venetian blinds when they become dusty.  We always recommend these slat cleaners which make the job easier and are really effective.  We are now selling these 7 slat cleaners within our showroom based in Workington.

Now there is no excuse to get spring cleaning!!

Privacy for school changing area

We were asked to replace an existing door blind and to also provide roller blinds to windows for the changing rooms of a local school.  These blinds are blackout and also fire retardant and the school were very happy with the end result.

Tea and Scone

This morning’s measuring job at Whitehaven for a replacement roller blind in a Whitehaven was rewarded with a lovely homemade scone and cup of tea.  Just as well I was running ahead of time to be able to stop and have a friendly chat with the customer and enjoy her baking!  Thank you so much this kindness from a stranger made my morning 🙂

Roller blind to be replaced!

Helping customers

Not just about measuring!!

Sometimes we are are asked to visit customers homes to to look at what we think would work best for their windows and come up with options and colours.  We did this today at a house in Cockermouth where the customer has roman blinds and curtains currently installed.

It’s rewarding to be able to help our customers achieve their desired look and make the interior of their homes look stunning.

First post!

My first post and I thought I’d share an insight into the different types of windows we get the pleasure of measuring blinds for. This one is in a museum where they require blinds with UV protection from the sun to help protect the items on show to the public.

We have a large range of roller blinds that protect against ultra violet light but continue to allow light to filter into the room.  Looking forward to seeing what this looks like.
